SUMMER WORKSHOPS

We feature one-two artists at Art Walks, the 2nd Friday of the month, and offer a full-day workshop the following Saturday.


KRISTEN ENGEL • Mixed Media Painting
Saturday, August 15, 9-4 SIGN UP HERE!

In this mixed media workshop, we will explore how to build rich layered artwork by combining collage and expressive painting. Kristen will guide you in creating an underlying base with collage papers, text and brochures. Once the foundation is established, we will apply acrylic paint, allowing the layers underneath to emerge. With loose brushstrokes, mark-making and subtle collage images peaking through, we will create a sense of energy, movement and emotion. This class encourages playful experimentation as we work in layers to create a piece on wood panel.

Price includes all supplies and light snacks. Lunch break 12-1 (lunch on your own). Space is limited to 10 painters.

"Paint Your Pet" Sip-N-Paint 
Sunday August 23, 1–4pm at The Gallery

You submit a photo and we transfer it to a 16x20 canvas and all paint together in class. As long as you get the values (lights/darks) correct, you can use any colors you like...blacks become purples and blues and browns become pinks, oranges, yellow, and reds! 

Photos that work best are taken at eye-level, head and shoulders, looking at the camera, and smiling...like a child's school photo. I-Phone photos work great. Please submit photos by August 20.

This class is tailored toward helping each artist individually plus group instruction on the basics of color theory, painting eyes, noses, mouths, etc. 

All supplies and light snacks provided. All skill levels welcome. BYOB, must be 21 to consume alcohol. Spaces are not confirmed until paid and due to the individual nature of this class, no refunds.

The Holiday Boots class was a great kickoff for the holiday season! Lee Ann lead a merry group of novice painters to complete a masterpiece! Everyone was happy with their art and had a most enjoyable evening! Thanks LeeAnn for accommodating all levels and sharing your expertise. Can’t wait to take another class!
