Collection: David Swanson

David Swanson is a western contemporary realist working in oils, watercolor, and charcoal. He and his family have lived in Livingston, Montana for over 17 years. David has exhibited widely in Montana, as well as in Cody, Jackson, Chicago, and Santa Fe. He holds a BFA from Montana State University and has completed several artist residencies and workshops in Park County.

Originally studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, David pursued a 20-year career as a professional musician while continuing to develop his visual art skills through architectural illustration, design, and painting. In 1997, he shifted his focus entirely to fine art, creating landscapes and western realism.
