Collection: Susan Moncada

Sue moved to Bozeman, Montana from the Midwest, drawn by the outdoor lifestyle of skiing, running, and hiking. After a 20-year career in Medical Laboratory Science and a period living in Charleston, SC, she returned to Montana in 2017 to pursue her passion for art. Embracing color, paint, and texture, Sue found palette knife painting to perfectly express her love of vibrant, dynamic landscapes.

She has studied with local artists including Kara Tripp, David Mensing, and Robert Moore, and completed the Montana Arts Council’s Artrepreneur Program. Her award-winning work has appeared in juried shows such as the Big Sky Art Auction, Auction for the Arts, and the Sweet Pea Festival. Sue continues to draw inspiration from Montana’s rugged landscapes, wildlife, and seasonal wildflowers, living her lifelong dream of creating art in the place she loves most.
