In this mixed media workshop, we will be exploring how to build rich layered artwork by combining collage and expressive painting. Kristen will guide you in creating an underlying base with collage papers, text and brochures. Once the foundation is established, we will apply paint, allowing the layers underneath to emerge. With loose brushstrokes, mark making and subtle collage images peaking through, we will create a sense of energy, movement and emotion. This class encourages playful experimentation as we work in layers to create a piece on wood panel.
Price includes all supplies and light snacks. Lunch break 12-1 (lunch on your own). Space is limited to 10 painters.
